
NEW DELHI: RIL(Rs. 1220.15 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 1181.14 crore), SBI(Rs. 1117.98 crore), TCS(Rs. 960.43 crore), Vedanta (Rs. 954.93 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 936.06 crore), Balrampur Chini(Rs. 778.03 crore), Infosys(Rs. 740.81 crore), Tata Power(Rs. 730.25 crore) and Bajaj Finance(Rs. 699.87 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Tuesday's session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 179.55 points up at 17805.25, while BSE Sensex rose 672.71 points to 59855.93.
In the Nifty index, NTPC Ltd.(up 5.48 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 3.32 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 2.73 per cent), State Bank of India(up 2.70 per cent) and Titan Company Ltd.(up 2.34 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Tata Motors Ltd.(down 1.61 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(down 1.48 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 1.33 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 1.22 per cent) and Shree Cements Ltd.(down 1.08 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
