Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Tuesday at 11:10AM

Coromandel International(up 3.16%), Sikko Industries(up 1.79%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 1.60%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(up 1.49%), G S F C(up 1.32%), Agro Phos(up 1.19%), KRISHANA(up 1.06%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 0.39%) and National Fertilizer(up 0.09%) were among the top gainers.

Aries Agro(down 3.47%), ZUARIAGRO(down 1.13%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 0.87%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 0.70%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 0.42%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(down 0.16%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 0.15%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.14%) and Madhya Bharat Agro Products(down 0.03%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 79.8 points up at 17705.5, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 306.3 points at 59489.52 at around 11:10AM.

NTPC(up 3.61%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 3.29%), State Bank of India(up 2.41%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 2.37%), Axis Bank(up 1.43%), ICICI Bank(up 1.22%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 1.09%), Reliance Industries(up 1.0%), Bajaj Auto(up 0.92%) and Indian Oil Corporation(up 0.84%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 1.82%), Tata Motors(down 1.44%), Divis Laboratories(down 0.87%), Coal India(down 0.87%), Infosys(down 0.81%), UltraTech Cement(down 0.8%), HCL Technologies(down 0.73%), Cipla(down 0.7%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.68%) and Wipro(down 0.54%) were trading in the red.
