Stock market update: Mining stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading higher on Monday at 11:25AM

Oriental Trimex(up 18.72%), Coal India(up 4.11%), Pokarna(up 2.00%), Ashapura Minechem(up 1.37%), Lexus Granito(up 1.04%), NMDC Ltd(up 0.86%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(up 0.66%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(up 0.62%) and KIOCL(up 0.60%) were among the top gainers.

20 Microns(down 1.65%), Aro Granite Industries(down 0.55%), MOIL(down 0.24%) and Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(down 0.07%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 171.65 points up at 17525.7, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 601.87 points at 58855.69 at around 11:25AM.

Eicher Motors(up 4.29%), Coal India(up 4.07%), Tata Motors(up 2.8%), Tata Consultancy(up 2.08%), Axis Bank(up 2.06%), Bajaj Finserv(up 2.02%), ICICI Bank(up 1.73%), HDFC Bank(up 1.72%), Bajaj Finance(up 1.54%) and State Bank of India(up 1.38%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Cipla(down 1.57%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 0.68%), Divis Laboratories(down 0.6%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.6%), Titan Company Ltd(down 0.5%), IndusInd Bank(down 0.42%), Hindalco Industries(down 0.32%), Shree Cement(down 0.31%), Britannia Industries(down 0.09%) and Tech Mahindra(down 0.07%) were trading in the red.
