Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 16.47 crore), MPS Infotecnics (number of shares traded: 15.74 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 9.32 crore), Inventure Grwth(number of shares traded: 9.03 crore), Reliance Comm(number of shares traded: 8.62 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 3.46 crore), RattanIndia Power (number of shares traded: 3.45 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 3.29 crore), RBL Bank(number of shares traded: 2.23 crore) and IDFC(number of shares traded: 1.64 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:34AM in Monday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 166.65 points up at 17520.7, while BSE Sensex was up 582.94 points at 58836.76 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Coal India Ltd.(up 4.01 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 3.43 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 2.44 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 1.97 per cent) and Axis Bank Ltd.(up 1.75 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Cipla Ltd.(down 1.24 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.61 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.39 per cent), Titan Company Ltd.(down 0.38 per cent) and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.35 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
