Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Friday at 10:34AM

Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (up 2.17%), Sikko Industries(up 1.90%), ZUARIAGRO(up 1.87%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(up 1.36%), National Fertilizer(up 1.15%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 0.99%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(up 0.54%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 0.46%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(up 0.37%) and KRISHANA(up 0.18%) were among the top gainers.

Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 1.45%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.81%), Agro Phos(down 0.61%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 0.43%), G S F C(down 0.21%) and Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(down 0.19%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 134.25 points up at 17338.2, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 394.78 points at 58189.1 at around 10:34AM.

Hindalco Industries(up 4.71%), Titan Company Ltd(up 3.33%), JSW Steel(up 2.45%), Shree Cement(up 2.29%), Grasim Industries(up 2.16%), Maruti Suzuki(up 1.89%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 1.77%), Axis Bank(up 1.74%), UltraTech Cement(up 1.73%) and HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 1.73%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, NTPC(down 1.65%), Infosys(down 0.59%), Tech Mahindra(down 0.5%), SBI Life(down 0.16%), Wipro(down 0.15%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 0.1%), Cipla(down 0.08%) and IndusInd Bank(down 0.06%) were trading in the red.
