
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index closed on a positive note on Friday.
Shares of Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 2.33 per cent), State Bank of India(up 1.94 per cent), IDFCBANK(up 1.79 per cent), Bandhan Bank(up 1.57 per cent) and Axis Bank(up 1.45 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, RBLBANK(down 2.72 per cent) and AU Small Finance Bank(down 0.66 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Bank index closed 1.19 per cent up at 35481.7.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 150.1 points at 17354.05, while the BSE Sensex stood up 459.5 points at 58253.82.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 44 ended in the green, while 6 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, IDFC, RBL Bank, YES Bank and IDFC First Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Vivo Collaboration Solutions Ltd., BGR Energy, Alpa Labs, MSP Steel and Swelect Energy hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while HEC Infra Projects, Shri Ram Switchgears, RM Drip and Sprinkle, RBL Bank and DCM Shriram Ind hit their fresh 52-week lows.
