Motorola has increased the price of the Moto G31 and Moto G51 a month after the smartphones were released in India. The Moto G31 was released on November 29 whereas the Moto G51 was launched on December 10. Barely a month after the release, Motorola has increased the prices of the smartphone by upto Rs 3000. Motorola had launched smartphones in the mid-range category.
Moto G31 which was launched in India for Rs 12,999 for the 4GB+64GB variant is now being sold for Rs 13,999. The 6GB variant which was priced at Rs 14,999 now costs Rs 16,999 in India. The 6GB variant is not selling in India as of now.
Similarly, the Moto G51, which was launched at Rs. 14,999 for the 4GB/64GB is now being sold at Rs 3000. The current price of the smartphone is now Rs 17,999. Motorola has not revealed the reason behind the price hike as of now.
Moto G31 specifications
The Moto G31 sports a 6.4-inch FHD+ OLED panel with a standard refresh rate of 60Hz. The display has a brightness of up to 700 nits and a pixel density of 409 PPI. An Helio G85 chipset powers the Moto G31. It is an octa-core chipset clocked at 2GHz and coupled with a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. Moto offers this device in two configurations -- one with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage and another with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage.
The Moto G31 sports a triple rear camera setup, including a 50-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. There's a 16-megapixel sensor for selfies upfront.
Moto G51: Specifications
Moto G51 comes with a 6.8-inch hole-punch LCD with a high refresh rate of 120 Hz and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The smartphone is powered by the 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ SoC paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, which can be expandable using a microSD card. One of the major takeaways of the smartphone is that it suppors 12 5G Bands. The Moto G51 runs on Android 11 out of the box.
The Moto G51 features a triple-camera setup on the rear which consists of a 50-megapixel S5JKN1 primary sensor, along with an 8-megapixel and a 2-megapixel sensor as well. On the front, there is a 13-megapixel camera for selfies.
Moto G51 houses a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W fast charging. It comes with Dolby Atmos support. For connectivity, the Moto G51 comes with 5G support, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. There is also a fingerprint sensor on the rear of the smartphone.
