Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks down as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading lower on Thursday at 11:26AM

Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 5.78%), Aries Agro(up 4.01%), Sikko Industries(up 2.51%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 2.23%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 1.84%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(up 1.48%), Madras Fertlizers(up 1.40%) and National Fertilizer(up 1.18%) were among the top gainers.

Agro Phos(down 3.67%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 2.32%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 2.13%), KRISHANA(down 0.87%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(down 0.75%), G S F C(down 0.67%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 0.53%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 0.45%), Sikko Industries(down 0.44%) and Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(down 0.34%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 19.95 points up at 17233.55, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 91.56 points at 57898.05 at around 11:26AM.

NTPC(up 1.71%), Wipro(up 1.68%), Tech Mahindra(up 1.62%), HCL Technologies(up 1.48%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 0.94%), Bharti Airtel(up 0.94%), Cipla(up 0.92%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 0.9%), SBI Life(up 0.9%) and Tata Consultancy(up 0.88%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Bajaj Auto(down 1.7%), Bajaj Finserv(down 1.27%), Tata Motors(down 1.14%), Indian Oil Corporation(down 1.12%), Coal India(down 0.95%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 0.94%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.75%), State Bank of India(down 0.64%), Axis Bank(down 0.51%) and Hindalco Industries(down 0.5%) were trading in the red.
