Karnataka Urban Local Body Election Results 2021 Live: Congress says ULB results a trailer

Karnataka ULB Election Results 2021 Live Update: The Congress party outsmarted the ruling BJP in Karnataka as it emerged as the single largest party in the urban local bodies polls, voting for which was held on December 27 and the results were announced today. A total of 58 Urban Local Bodies consisting of 1184 wards went to poll. Of the total 1184 seats that went to the polls, the Congress won 498 seats, BJP 437, JDS 45 and others 204. The Congress polled 42.06 per cent votes, the BJP 36.90 per cent, the JDS 3.8 per cent and others 17.22 per cent.

Of the 166 City Municipal Council wards, the Congress got 61, the BJP 67, the JDS 12 and others 26. Of the 441 Town Municipal Council wards, the Congress got 201, BJP 176 and JDS 21. Of the 588 wards of the Pattana Panchayats, the Congress bagged 236, the BJP 194 and the JDS 12 while others won in 135 wards. In Karatagi Municipality Elections, 23 wards went to polls in Koppal, 35 in Hospete, 23 in Ramnagara (Bidadi Municipality Elections), 23 in Bengaluru (Jigani Municipality Elections), 17 in Dakshina Kannada (Kotekaaru Town Panchayat Elections), 19 in Koppal (Bhagyanagar Town Panchayat Elections), 14 in Vijayapura (Naalathawada Town Panchayat Elections), 16 in Chitradurga (Nayakanahalli Town Panchayat Elections), 17 in Vijayapura (Kolhar Town Panchayat Elections), 18 in Haveri (Guttal Town Panchayat Elections), 18 in Dakshina Kannada (Vitla Town Panchayat Elections), 16 in Vijayapura (Nidagundi Town Panchayat Elections), 17 in Belagavi (Yaksamba Town Panchayat Elections), 35 in Chikkamagalur, 30 in Shira.
