Ranvir Shorey said that while he is fully vaccinated, his son isn't since there are still no vaccines for 10-year-olds.
Actor Ranvir Shorey and actress Konkona Sensharma's 10-year-old Haroon tested positive for the coronavirus on Tuesday.

The 49-year-old star took to social media to confirm that they were on a holiday in Goa, and contracted the virus while returning home. During the routine RT-PCR testing, Shorey Jr's report showed that he had tested positive.

The actor said that the father-son duo are asymptomatic and have quarantined themselves until further investigations.

Urging the people of the country to stay safe, he wrote, "The wave is real."

In a series of tweets, Shorey also said that they plan to get retested today to rule out any false positives.

Replying to a media report, he said that while he is fully vaccinated, his son isn't since there are no vaccines available for 10-year-olds.

The 'Bheja Fry' star got his first shot of the Covid vaccine on May 22, and the second jab was somewhere around August-end.

Sensharma didn't share any details about the development.

Shorey and Sensharma were married for a decade, but called it quits in 2020. The couple welcomed their first child in 2011.

On the work front, Shorey was last seen in the suspense courtroom drama '420 IPC' that also features Vinay Pathak, Gul Panag and Rohan Vinod Mehra. He played the role of an eccentric Parsi public prosecutor in the ZEE5 film.

Meanwhile, Sensharma recently bagged the Asian Academy Creative Award in the Best Actress - Leading Role category for her performance in the short film 'Geeli Pucchi' that featured in Netflix's anthology film 'Ajeeb Daastaans'.
