Shares of BSE have been in demand throughout the last two years as the influx of investors on Dalal Street has increased the number of registered clients. In the last one year, the stock has climbed 216 per cent.

NEW DELHI: Shares of BSE surged in the morning trade on Tuesday after the company said its board will consider issuing bonus shares in a meeting in February next year.

Following this development, the stock rose over 6 per cent to Rs 1,950.

“A meeting of the Board of Directors is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, to inter alia, consider and approve the unaudited Financial Results (Standalone and Consolidated) of the Company for the quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2021, and Limited Review Report thereon,” BSE said in an exchange filing on NSE.

“Further, as per Regulation 29(1)(f) of the SEBI Listing Regulations, the Board of Directors shall, inter-alia, also consider, the proposal for issue of bonus shares at the aforesaid meeting, subject to requisite approvals,” it added.
