No significant works from CM's portfolio: MLA Lokeswar

Imphal, December 27 2021: Asking as to what significant works chief minister N Biren Singh had done from among the numerous portfolios he has been taking charge since formation of the government, Khundrakpam MLA Th Lokeswar has demanded a white paper on this from the chief minister.
Th Lokeswar raised this demand while addressing a gathering at the inauguration of a newly constructed building for Young Learners' Library and Leading Organisation at Keibi Khullen in Khundrakpam AC on Monday.
Khundrakpam has been assigned No.1 among 60 assembly constituencies of the state and considering the reason behind it is to make the AC top in development that many development works had been done since becoming representative of the constituency and will continue to do so, Th Lokeswar said at the event.
Attending as chief guest of the event, Lokeswar alleged that the present government led by BJP does nothing other than giving false promises.
The BJP governments both at the Centre and in the state are oppressing people by hiking prices of goods including essential commodities and recent hiking of internet mobile data recharge made the common people and students to suffer.
Though state, government is raising voice for developing schools but no fund for the same has been made but talks in high pitch.
As for Khundrakpam AC, schools, libraries, community halls are being constructed from the MLA Local Area Development Fund apart from taking up various development works.
For safety of people, one police station and three police out-posts have been opened in Khundrakpam AC and two power sub-stations have been installed at Yumnam Patlou and Tejpur, he added.
The event was also attended by former BJP Khundrakpam Mandal president Ng Iboyaima, Makeng-Dolaithabi ZP member N Sanatomba, Uyumpok GP pradhan Th Inaocha, ward member Pramo and senior citizen Ph Manibabu.
