Imphal, December 27 2021: All Manipur VDF Welfare Association (AMVDFWA) has warned of launching agitation if the state government fails to take up the pending demands of the Association in the state cabinet by January 3, 2022 .
In a release, AMVDFWA president O Bijoy Singh recalled that during the 12th raising day of VDF on March 6, 2022, chief minister N Biren had assured of looking into the demands including service protection, outstanding performance reward, seniority list, 13 months' pay, suitable honorarium, etc.
The CM suggested a written submission of the demands after which the Association submitted them on April 21, but the matter is yet to be taken up by the government and has remained struck in bureaucratic red tape, it added.
AMVDFWA further warned that if the government does not resolve the issue they will be forced to hold protests and in case of any untoward incident then the responsibility will be borne by the government.
