The NSE Nifty index traded 115.7 points up at 17201.95, while BSE Sensex was up 377.8 points at 57798.04 as of 10:24AM(IST)on December 28.
In the Nifty index, Asian Paints Ltd.(up 2.22 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 1.87 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 1.71 per cent), Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 1.71 per cent) and Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 1.65 per cent) were among the top gainers.
On the other hand, IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.42 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.02 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 0.00 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 0.05 per cent) and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 0.07 per cent) were among the top losers.
