Ml BCC refutes self-attack allegations

Imphal, December 26 2021: Mayang Imphal Block Congress Committee has refuted the allegations that the gun attack on a Congress worker at Mayang Imphal Bengoon on the night of December 23 was carried out by the worker himself so as to blame others.

Addressing a press meet held at Bengoon on Sunday, Committee's Media Cell secretary Dolaithabam Sallauddin said that some group of people, who identified themselves as members of club/organisation, have alleged the gun attack on the vehicle of Congress worker Altaf Hussain as a ploy by Altaf to blame the candidate of another party.

Refuting the allegations, Sallauddin stated that an FIR has already been registered at Mayang Imphal PS with regard to the incident.

He then urged the people not to believe the false claims being made by the group of people who have nothing to do with Bengoon but are using the name of a local club for their personal interests.

He also appealed to the police to carry out the investigation speedily so as to arrest and punish the people involved in the case.
