Noney DM enforces strict Covid SOP

Imphal, December 25 2021: In pursuant of the notification issued by the State Disaster Management Authority for further imposition of Covid-19 restrictions in light of emergence of Omicron variant of Covid-19, Noney district magistrate Haulianlal Guite has ordered for strict compliance with restrictions imposed in the entire Noney district till January 1, 2022 .

As per the order, it is mandatory to wear face mask at all gatherings and event organisers shall be directly held responsible in ease of non-compliance.

Event organisers of all gatherings must issue clear advance instructions to all invitees/participants to wear face masks and also keep reserve masks of at least up to 10 per cent of the total number of invitees/attendees, the district magistrate specified, adding that event organisers shall also deputise some of its people/volunteers to ensure that all participants/attendees wear masks.

Moreover, SP Noney, SDMs and SDPOs of Noney, Khoupum, Haoching and Nungba have been advised to strictly monitor and inspect the public gatherings to see whether these orders are followed and impose penalties promptly on the violators including the event organisers.
