The sci-fi movie Ayalaan, directed by Sivakarthikeyan, has been in the works for almost four years, but it has been plagued by problems that have caused it to be delayed. The most recent development is that an entertainment firm is pursuing payback of Rs 5 crore that the movie's producer purportedly loaned from them, and has got a stay of execution on the movie production (which, incidentally, isn't yet finished)!

Tag Entertainment, a film firm, claims that Ayalaan's creator 24AM Studios borrowed Rs 5 crore for the film's production and is now demanding payback of the money plus interest. The judge ordered an interim injunction, ordering that the producers of Ayalaan cannot promote the picture until january 3, 2022, after hearing the petition. He deferred the case after receiving a statement from the production house indicating that the money would be returned as agreed.


Rakul Preet Singh, yogi Babu, Isha Koppikar, Sharad Kelkar, and karunakaran are among the cast members of Ayalaan, which began filming in 2018. AR rahman composed the music for the film, which was directed by R ravikumar of Indru Netru Naalai fame. The film's production had come to a halt as the production business ran into financial difficulties. Production continued in january 2020 once that issue was resolved, with KJR Studios joining as co-producers. However, because to the COVID-19 epidemic, filming had to be halted, and the filmmakers were only able to complete the project by january 2021.
