"Echoes of Mercy" wins Red Ribbon Manipur Idol 2021

Imphal, December 23 2021: "Echoes of Mercy" of Churachandpur district has won the Red Ribbon Manipur Idol 2021."GMP" of Imphal West and "Not Funny" from Kamjong were also declared the first and second runners up respectively.

Red Ribbon Manipur Idol 2021 is a music competition organised annually by Manipur State AIDS Control Society (MACS) to generate awareness on HIV/AIDS among youth.

The winner of the competition will represent Manipur at the 3rd North East Multi-Media Campaign to be held at Shillong in February 2022 .

National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) with an aim to spread HIV/AIDS awareness among youth has been organising Multi-Media Campaign (MMC) exclusively for the North Eastern States of India.

It may be mentioned that bands representing Manipur namely the Wishes and Innocent Eyes won the earlier two editions of the campaign held at Kohima and Imphal in 2019 & 2020 respectively.

Ten bands after winning their respective district auditions competed in the State Level Competition held on Thursday at YAC Ground, Yaiskul, Imphal.
