Apple introduced apps for Messages with iOS 10 and it includes a wide range of app support such as maps, photos, music, YouTube, fitness and more.
In addition to that, the app also includes a dedicated App Store which allows users to download apps and games specifically designed for the Messages app.
If you are wondering how to access the App Store on Messages app to download more apps, here’s what you need to do:
How to access already existing Messages apps
It is important to know that apps in Messages depend upon the apps that are already installed on your smartphone. For instance, if you have a YouTube app on your phone, then the Messages app will include YouTube. The same applies to other apps like Pinterest, Practo, etc.
Here are the steps you need to follow to access apps in Messages
1.
Open Messages and start a new conversation or open an existing one
2.
Now, swipe left or right on the app drawer (the app ribbon at the bottom of the Messages app)
3.
Scroll left or right to scroll through the apps.
If you want to add more apps or games, then you can download them via the built-in App Store from within the app. Here’s how to do that.
How to download apps, games and stickers for the Messages app
1.
Open Messages app and start a new or open an existing conversation
2.
Start scrolling through the app drawer till you see ‘...’ icon
3.
Tap on the App Store icon
4.
Look for the app, stickers, games, etc and download it.
You can now go back to the app drawer and look for the recently downloaded app. To access it, simply tap on it. Also, note that you can rearrange the apps within the messages app to move the one you use at the top.
