Indowind Energy(up 4.99%), Energy Development Company(up 4.86%), Karma Energy(up 4.85%), Orient Green Power Company(up 4.79%), RTNPOWER(up 4.42%), NTL(up 3.51%), K.P.I. Global Infras(up 1.89%), SJVN(up 0.88%) and Inox wind(up 0.69%) were among the top gainers.
PIGL(down 4.93%), JSW Energy(down 2.57%), NTPC(down 2.05%), Voltamp Transformers(down 2.00%), ADANIGREEN(down 1.95%), Reliance Power(down 1.92%), Indo Tech Transformers(down 1.89%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures(down 1.79%), NHPC(down 1.62%) and Adani Transmissions(down 1.34%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 104.8 points down at 16967.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 310.33 points at 57004.95 at around 11:15AM.
SBI Life(up 2.45%), HCL Technologies(up 2.08%), Tech Mahindra(up 1.2%), Nestle India(up 0.96%), ITC(up 0.81%), Asian Paints(up 0.6%), Infosys(up 0.47%) and Hindustan Unilever(up 0.14%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Grasim Industries(down 2.35%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 2.32%), NTPC(down 2.05%), IndusInd Bank(down 1.96%), Axis Bank(down 1.83%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 1.83%), Bajaj Finserv(down 1.82%), Tata Motors(down 1.81%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 1.64%) and Bajaj Finance(down 1.49%) were trading in the red.
