20 Microns(down 3.54%), Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(down 2.93%), NMDC Ltd(down 1.74%), Aro Granite Industries(down 1.41%), Coal India(down 1.22%), Oriental Trimex(down 0.95%) and Orissa Minerals Development Company(down 0.76%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 68.85 points down at 17003.75, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 190.97 points at 57124.31.
HCL Technologies(up 3.08%), Tech Mahindra(up 2.38%), SBI Life(up 2.02%), Wipro(up 0.56%), Asian Paints(up 0.52%), ITC(up 0.32%), Infosys(up 0.32%), Reliance Industries(up 0.32%), Tata Consultancy(up 0.22%) and JSW Steel(up 0.16%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Grasim Industries(down 2.93%), NTPC(down 2.65%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 1.72%), Eicher Motors(down 1.71%), Indian Oil Corporation(down 1.69%), Axis Bank(down 1.66%), UltraTech Cement(down 1.58%), Bajaj Finserv(down 1.54%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 1.53%) and HDFC(down 1.42%) closed in the red.
