Russia have appointed former Springbok assistant coach Dick Muir as head coach of their men's national team.
Muir is also a former Sharks head coach having held the reigns at the KwaZulu-Natal franchise between 2005-2007.
He played five Tests for South Africa.
Earlier this year, he was announced as one of four academy coaches at the Sharks.
It wasn't immediately clear when Muir would assume his duties, with Russia's Twitter social media page keeping the announcement brief.
"Welcome to South Africa's Dick Muir, who has been appointed new Head Coach of the Russian Men's National Team," the announcement read.
