MCC to hold four rounds of counselling to fill all India quota UG/PG medical seats
PUDUCHERRY: The medical counselling committee (MCC) of the Directorate General of Health Services, Union health and family welfare ministry will hold four rounds of counselling to fill up 15% of undergraduate and 50% of postgraduate medical seats under all India quota (AIQ) from the academic year 2021-22 following an order by Supreme Court of India.

The committee in a notice said the National medical commission (NMC) has issued a gazette notification in this regard. The committee said it would not revert any AIQ seats to the respective states/Union territories after the completion of AIQ round two counselling.

"This is for information to all the participating states/UTs, participating universities/ institutes/ colleges and the participating candidates of Neet-UG/PG that, MCC will be conducting online 4 rounds of all India quota counselling (AIQ round 1, AIQ round 2, AIQ mop-up round and AIQ stray vacancy Round) from the academic year 2021-22 onwards in compliance of the order dated December 16, 2021 in special leave to appeal before the Supreme Court of India," said a notice issued by the MCC.

The committee said it would soon release the information bulletin for the Neet UG/PG admissions on its official website www.mcc.nic.in and the participating states/UTs, participating universities/ institutes/ colleges and the participating candidates may refer to the bulletin as and when it is made available.
