UP TET rescheduled, to be held on Jan 23

LUCKNOW: After paper leak and subsequent cancellation of UP Teacher Eligibility Test (UP TET) on November 28, the basic education department on Wednesday announced fresh dates for the examination.

UP TET will now be held on January 23, 2022 and the results will be declared on February 25.

Clearing UP TET is the minimum qualification for a candidate to become eligible for appointment as a teacher in government schools.

According to an order issued by under secretary, basic education, Dharmendra Mishra, candidates can download the admit cards from the website from January 12.


The examination will be held in two shifts. For appointment of teachers in primary schools, the examination will be held from 10am-12.30pm while for upper primary schools, the test will be conducted from 2.30-5pm.



The answer key will be uploaded on the website on January 27 and objections will be admitted till February 1. The final answer key after looking into the objections will be released on February 23.



Over 20 lakh aspirants had registered for UP TET scheduled on November 28. The test was called off after a question paper was leaked. The UP STF, which is probing the leak, has so far arrested 38 accused and put 20 more individuals from different districts under scanner.
