Maharashtra: Youth held for murdering parents in Kalyan

KALYAN: The Kalyan based youth Lokesh Bharotia (27), who had killed his father and mother and injured himself has been arrested on Thursday after getting discharged from the hospital.
On December 13, the accused stabbed his father to death had also seriously injured his mother Kusum when she tried to stop him. Kusum later succumbed to her injuries during treatment.
At the time of incident, Lokesh made a fake story saying his father attacked his mother and also injured him before killing himself.
The police said they doubted Lokesh when during treatment his mother revealed that her son was lying and its he who attacked his parents.
On mother’s revelation, police arrested Lokesh upon his discharge from hospital on Thursday under charges of murder.
A senior police official told TOI, "The youth has confessed that he was upset with his parents because his retired father was addicted to alcohol and used to drink whole day and night and mother was mentally ill due to which he planned to kill both of them".
