Sally Ann Howes has sadly passed away.
The English actress, best known for playing Truly Scrumptious in the 1968 movie musical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, died on Sunday (December 19) at the age of 91.

Sally died at a hospital in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, according to The New York Times. Her cause of death has not yet been reported.
Sally began her acting career at the age of 12, when she starred in the 1943 movie Thursday Child. In 50-year career, Sally starred in over 140 movies, musicals, plays, and TV projects.
In 1958, Sally made her Broadway debut as Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, taking over the role from Julie Andrews.
She was nominated for a Tony award for 1962 for her performance in Brigadoon.
Sally‘s husband Douglas Rae, whom she married in 1972, passed away a few months ago in September.
