Lexus Granito(up 4.76%), Coal India(up 1.62%), MOIL(up 1.27%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(up 1.20%), Ashapura Minechem(up 1.16%), NMDC Ltd(up 0.75%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(up 0.37%) and 20 Microns(up 0.17%) stood among the top gainers.
Pokarna(down 3.94%), Aro Granite Industries(down 2.68%), KIOCL(down 2.34%) and Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(down 0.43%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 117.15 points up at 17072.6, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 384.72 points at 57315.28.
Power Grid Corporation of India(up 3.37%), Indian Oil Corporation(up 2.84%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 2.7%), ITC(up 2.5%), Cipla(up 2.25%), Bajaj Finance(up 2.16%), Hero MotoCorp(up 1.87%), Infosys(up 1.8%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 1.65%) and Britannia Industries(up 1.65%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Divis Laboratories(down 1.86%), JSW Steel(down 1.63%), Bharti Airtel(down 0.88%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.63%), UltraTech Cement(down 0.5%), Maruti Suzuki(down 0.49%), Hindalco Industries(down 0.44%), Asian Paints(down 0.37%), Eicher Motors(down 0.27%) and ICICI Bank(down 0.2%) closed in the red.
