Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach Arthur Zwane admits that he does not expect the club to dip into the January transfer window.
The club served a FIFA transfer ban for two years from 2019 until mid-2021 before getting the opportunity to sign players again.
The lengthy ban has seen the club hold onto several ageing players as they boast the fourth oldest squad in the league.
However, with the return of head coach Stuart Baxter in May, the club were able to sign players again from June onwards.
Chiefs lured Cole Alexander and marquee signing Keagan Dolly to Naturena, with many reports surfacing that the club will bolster the squad in the upcoming transfer window.
After Chiefs' 2-0 victory over Maritzburg United on Wednesday, Zwane told reporters that it would most likely be a striker if they sign any players.
"Going forward, I think as a team we don't need defenders, and we are covered," said Zwane.
"If we are to beef up our squad, we'll maybe look for a striker, but at the moment, I don't think we are looking because we have a lot of players."
"Maybe we can even go into the development and check because we have a lot of boys that are promising."
