TPR drops below 1 pc with 11 new cases

Imphal, December 21 2021: The State's positivity rate or TPR declined to just 0.7 per cent as compared to yesterday's 2.5 per cent as only 11 persons were confirmed Covid-19 positive out of 1,615 samples tested during the last 24 hours.
Altogether 11 persons including one CAPF personnel were confirmed positive at RIMS (1), JNIMS (3) and other testing centres (7) and the civilians are residents of Imphal East (6) and Imphal West (4) .
Noney logged the highest daily positivity rate at 4 per cent followed by Imphal East at 2.4 per cent.
On the other hand, there is no report of Covid related death during the last 24 hours which keeps the death toll unchanged at 1995 .
A bulletin issued by Additional Director (Health) and Covid-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang informed that 10 individuals who were undergoing treatment for Covid-19 were discharged during the last 24 hours from home isolation (7), JNIMS (1) and CCCs (2), following recovery.
The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in the State has reached 1,25,661 (general population 1,21,227 and Central security personnel 4,434) .
It includes 205 active cases (general population 203 and Central security personnel 2) and 1,23,461 recovered cases (general population 1,19,034 and Central security personnel 4,427) .
The recovery rate stands at 98.25 per cent.
A total of 497 D-type oxygen cylinders and 97 B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of the State yesterday.
Taking into account 5834 doses administered on December 20, the cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 22,75,839 (first dose 13,13,442 and second dose 9,62,397) .
Till Monday, 56.11 per cent of the State's total eligible population has been given the first dose of Covid vaccine while 41.11 per cent has received both the first and second dose.
