Keanu Reeves Talks About His Connection to His Asian Identity

Keanu Reeves is opening up about his racial identity.

The 57-year-old actor, who stars in the new movie The Matrix Resurrections, hasn’t talked about his ethnicity much in public, but he’s talking about it in a new interview.

Keanu was asked about recent headlines that position him as a person of color.

“I don’t know if I agree with that statement. But I don’t not agree,” Keanu told NBC News. For those who don’t know, Keanu‘s father was Chinese Hawaiian.

He added, “My relationship to my Asian identity, it’s always been good and healthy. And I love it. We’ve been growing up together.”

Keanu talked about being proud to be a person of color in one interview a couple years ago.
