Spar Proteas head coach Dorette Badenhorst has named her squad of 14 ahead of next year's Netball Quad Series in London.
South Africa will compete against hosts England, New Zealand, and Australia at the Copper Box Arena in London from 15-19 January.
The last time the Proteas played at the Quad Series was back in 2019 in London, which saw Australia lifting the coveted trophy.
Last month, South Africa successfully defended their Africa Netball Cup title and look to continue that momentum in the new year.
Netball South Africa confirmed that the team would be travelling to London in early January to prepare for the series and acclimatise. Last week, the United Kingdom removed South Africa from its 'red list' of travel restrictions.
Proteas stalwart Karla Pretorius will not feature in next month's Quad Series as she will be "taking some time off netball since she is expecting her first baby in 2022".
Badenhorst is delighted to have the Quad Series back on and hopes to use the tournament as preparation for the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham 2022.
"I am very happy with the work that the players put in during the training camp, it was also unfortunate that we could not have our UK based players due to travel restrictions; however, the intensity and hard work rate that came out from the ones we had here was impressive," said Badenhorst in a press statement.
"Quad series is a clash between the medal contenders for Commonwealth Games and for that reason, I see no better preparation than this tournament.
"As a team, we want to perform very well at this tournament, and I am looking forward to seeing how our new players will fare against top nations in the world and seeing how our combinations will work. This is a preparation for Commonwealth Games for us."
