NPF Tengnoupal Unit warns of mass resignation

Imphal, December 19 2021: The parent body of Naga People's Front (NPF), 42 Unit Tengnoupal and its frontal wings have resolved unanimously to resign en masse (together) if the period of issue and submission of forms for party ticket is extended and if the party ticket is issued to D Korungthang.

As per a press release issued by the president, 42 Tengnoupal Area Unit, NPF said that the resolution was taken on a joint meeting of the parent body of the Area Unit and its frontal wings which was held on December 18 to discuss the activities of D Korungthang, MLA of 42 Tengnoupal Assembly Constituency who is trying his best to enroll in NPF and to take the party ticket for the upcoming election by flouting all party rules.

The press release also mentioned that W Morung Makunga, Kh Armstrong Charang and TK Moshilpha have applied for NPF ticket to contest in the upcoming election from 42 Tengnoupal AC after duly fulfilling all the criteria within the stipulated time as per the notification issued on November 29, 2021 by the General Secretary of NPF Manipur State Unit inviting applications for the party ticket.
