The Nation's Weather for Saturday, December 18, 2021
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A winter storm will push snow and ice into central New
England and upstate New York tomorrow. Farther south, mainly
rain will fall in Ohio, central and southern Pennsylvania,
New Jersey, Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts. In
between, a messy mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain could
lead to slippery travel in southern New York state, northern
Pennsylvania and into western Connecticut. Farther west,
snow will come to an end in northern Wisconsin and much of
Michigan. A band of rain will dampen Indiana and western and
central Kentucky. Some thunder will be embedded in Arkansas,
western Tennessee, western Louisiana and central and eastern
Texas. Unfortunately, the rain will slow tornado recovery
efforts from Kentucky to Arkansas. The next storm will bring
rain and heavy mountain snow to Washington state.
