Police have reportedly arrested three people over the deaths of model Christy Giles and her Mexican designer friend, while their families claim they were drugged against their will during a night out.

Giles, 24, and Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola, 26, went to a warehouse party in East Los Angeles in the early hours of November 13 and left with a group of men, going to an apartment near Beverley Hills with them.

Around 12 hours later, their bodies were dumped at separate hospitals. Cabrales-Arzola was left in critical condition and was later declared brain dead.

Interior designer Cabrales-Arzola was taken off life support on November 28, just one day before her 28th birthday.

Now, LA model Giles's husband Jan Cilliers has claimed that three people were arrested in connection with the deaths, ABC7 reported.

MailOnline has contacted LAPD for comment. 

The devastated families and friends of Giles and Cabrales-Arzola reportedly suspect foul play was involved in their deaths.

Cabrales-Arzola's toxicology report found heroin was in her system, while Giles's cause of death was referred to the toxicology after an autopsy. The results of both reports have not yet been released.

But their families claim the women would not have taken the drug willingly, alleging they were drugged against their will in an apartment in the Pico-Robertson area after visiting a West Hollywood club.

Texts between the two women showed Christy sent a message to Hilda at 5:30am when they were at the apartment, reading: 'let's go.'

Hilda replied: 'Yes. I'll call an Uber' - however, the two were never picked up.

It comes after one of the last people to see the two women alive described a group of four men and a woman who snuck into a club VIP area, 'targeted' the women and seemed 'crazed'.

A woman who went with them to the party spoke exclusively to DailyMail.com, revealing the moment their night took a turn from carefree to filled with danger. 

The friend, who remained sober that night, left with her cousin about an hour after the men arrived. She would never speak to her two friends again.

'They went from Soho House to the event and I met up with them. We entered the event as a group around 1am,' she said.

'I was hoping it was going to be a group of friends who enjoy the same kind of music, going out to an event put on by great DJs, to dance to great music, and perhaps end up at one of our places later.

'Then they appeared.'

The friend said she noticed four men and one woman who entered the party and 'didn't seem to belong'.

'One man and the woman seemed to be a couple – they were kissing. They were all older, in their 40s. It was just this feeling, they just weren't cool. Two of them seemed overly obnoxious and the rest of them seemed kind of shy.

'They actually were able to make it to the restricted staff area where we were without proper bracelets. And later we found out that they'd told multiple people at the event that they work for another artist who had a big concert earlier that night. But that's a lie.

'I was trying to talk to everybody at the event, like who knew these guys? But that was a dead end because they didn't know anybody.

'They walked in acting very confident, and people are very easily fooled by confidence.

'They were able to weasel themselves into that area, they must have been there for maybe about 30 minutes or so until somebody noticed they didn't have the right wrist bands and kicked them out. But I had already left by that point.

'If they were just in the regular GA [general admission] section, I would have just thought, 'Oh, whatever, these are just people who are here to party.' But because they were in the staff section, I thought maybe they were friends with the venue owner or something.'

The friend said two of the men were acting 'crazed'.

'Their energy was off. Usually in this industry people are very cool and chill, and they're respectful. But these men were obnoxious. They took their shirts off and started flailing around like they were on speed or something. There was a certain energy of craziness,' she said.

'One of them had a camera, a DSLR, which he pulled out and started filming the event. He seemed very sober. So I assumed that he was an event photographer or a videographer and then these were his friends.

'Now I think it was a ruse maybe, perhaps a prop even, to do what they do.'

The friend said at one point she saw one of the men – whose apartment the two girls would later end up in – had taken off his jacket and put it on Hilda.

'I tapped her on the head when I saw that. I made a face and I mouthed to her 'Why?' And she just looked very bored and shrugged. So there was no sexual or romantic interest,' the friend said.

The friend said the woman in the group first approached her, making conversation by complimenting her outfit before two of the men introduced themselves.

The friend shuddered remembering how 'I shook hands with two of them,' adding that she joked with them about their 'crazy' male friend's behavior.

'I actually asked one of the guys like, 'Are you responsible for this guy?' One of the guys said, 'Well, yeah, you know.' So they were definitely a group.'

She said she left soon after.

'I didn't stay too long after the men arrived. Up until then it was just a group of people, half of them seemed fine, half of them seemed crazy. And not a good crazy either, just a trashy, obnoxious crazy,' she said.

The friend first became alarmed on Saturday afternoon when neither girl had responded to her texts, and Hilda had not turned up at a concert she had tickets for.

Hilda was sharing her phone location with the friend, so she was able to see it pinging at an apartment in West Hollywood she didn't recognize, but said she just assumed Hilda was at a friend's house.

It wasn't until Christy's husband Jan Cilliers texted her that his wife was at the ER, that she knew something had gone horribly wrong.

'Five minutes before I arrived at the hospital, he told me that Christy had passed away,' she said.

'When I got there it was just the police, I was not allowed to enter. I just broke down. I kept on repeating, 'she's all alone in there, let me please just see her and let her know that she's not alone.'

'But laws are laws, so I was not able to enter. None of us have been able to see Christie yet. Not even Jan, which is very heartbreaking.'

The friend said she showed the cops Hilda's cell location on her phone, still at the West Hollywood apartment.

Amid frantic phone calls to friends trying to figure out what happened the previous night, she received a call from another hospital, telling her Hilda was there, and that they needed 'a family member to be present for a medical decision.'

Christy's death and Hilda's comatose state has left the friend bereft and devastated, she told DailyMail.com.

'These two girls are my two best friends in LA. They are the only ones that made LA feel home for me. And I lost both of them at the same time,' she said. 'It's very confusing for me to mourn two people at the same time.'

The friend said Hilda was an ambitious Mexican architecture student who graduated cum laude and recently landed her dream job as an interior designer for LA real estate.

'She had dreams, she had goals. And she didn't want to stay in the same spot,' the friend said. 'She wanted to move out of her comfort zone.

'She had a few Instagram posts of her arriving in LA, saying in Spanish 'Mom, I think I'm close to what I someday dreamed of.'

'She was very, extremely happy in the past few months that she's been here.'

The friend said both Christy and Hilda had a happy-go-lucky magnetism.

'She was silly, she would act very cute. Everyone who met her took an instant liking to her. She was very much like Christy,' she said.

'They were two different people. But the one thing they had in common was that they had so much love to give.'
