After Sanjay Kapoor's wife Maheep Kapoor and daughter Shanaya Kapoor tested positive for the COVID-19, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is now sanitising their residence. Donning PPE Kits, the BMC team fully cleaned the premises of Hiralaya building in Juhu, where Sanjay Kapoor and his family reside. Notably, Maheep Kapoor, along with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Amrita Arora, Sohail Khan's wife Seema Khan contracted the virus when they gathered at Karan Johar house last week. Earlier, Sanjay Kapoor while confirming that his wife Maheep Kapoor has tested positive, in a conversation with a news portal said, 'Yes, she is COVID positive with mild symptoms and she has self-isolated.' On Wednesday, his daughter Shanaya Kapoor's COVID test report came back positive. She took to her Instagram handle and informed about it by penning a note which read, 'I have tested positive for Covid-19. As of today, I have mild symptoms, but I'm feeling ok and have isolated myself. I had tested negative four days ago however while testing again as a precaution the results came positive. I am following the protocol given by my doctor and health professionals. If you have been in contact with me, request you to please get tested. Stay safe everyone!' Karan Johar, who hosted the party which was tagged as the superspreader of COVID-19, has tested negative. He took to his Instagram handle and shared a note saying, 'My family and I and everyone at home have done their RT PCR tests and with the grace of God we are all NEGATIVE! Infact I tested twice just to be safe and I am NEGATIVE.' While reacting to the reports of calling his party a 'hotspot' of COVID, he further added, 'To some members of the media, I would like (to) clarify that an eight people intimate gathering is not a 'party' and my home, which we maintain strict protocols in, is certainly no 'hotspot' of COVID. All of us are responsible and masked at all times and no one would treat this pandemic lightly.'
