Australia's cricket captain Pat Cummins has been named as a close contact of a positive Covid-19 case, casting doubt over whether he'll play in the second Ashes Test.
The 28-year-old was dining with another cricketer in Adelaide on Wednesday night when a customer at the next table was confirmed as a positive Covid case.
Cummins left the restaurant immediately but it's unclear if he will play in Thursday afternoon's test in the South Australian city.
Sources have said it's 'unlikely' the fast bowler will be able to take the pitch, The Age reported.

If Cummins has to miss the match, Steve Smith will step up as captain for the first time since the infamous sandpaper ball-tampering scandal from 2018.
It's understood Cricket Australia is racing to determine if Cummins will be able to play.
The news comes after it was confirmed Josh Hazlewood would be out following a side injury, and if Cummins is out, it will be an additional blow for the Aussie side.
Under South Australian Covid-19 rules, close contacts are required to isolate for a designated time given by health authorities.
Queensland cricketer Michael Neser is set to replace Cummins should he be forced to isolate for the match.
