Dua celebrated the achievement by sharing several shots of the listing to her Instagram.

The performer also wrote a short message where she expressed that the involvement of her collaborators meant 'the world to me.'

The singer recently spoke to Billboard and noted that the track had been produced with much difficulty as a result of the effects of COVID-19.

'It's nice after you work so hard, especially despite the pandemic, when you've got limited resources,' she said.

Dua went on to express that she was especially surprised by the song's success.

She wrote: 'Levitating doing its thing on the Billboard chart is absolutely surreal. 

'That song has been my baby for so long, and to have it out in the world, and for people's response to be the way that it is, it's just absolutely mind-blowing to me. I'm really, really, really grateful for it all.'
