WASHINGTON: ‘Fast and Furious’ fans have to wait a little more to see the 10th installment of the action film as Universal has pushed back the release date.

The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that the much-anticipated movie will be released on 19 May 2023, instead of 7 April 2023. The movie that is the second to last movie in the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise is penned by Chris Morgan and directed by Justin Lin.

‘Fast and Furious 10’ was originally scheduled for an April 2 release, this year, but that spot was taken by ‘F9’ due to the Covid-19 pandemic delays, and was later pushed back to June 25. The cast of the movie has been under wraps as of now but rumours suggest that the franchise star Vin Diesel will return along with Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Chris Bridges, Jordana Brewster, and Michelle Rodriguez.

According to Variety, Dwayne Johnson has already bid adieu to the franchise and it is unclear whether John Cena will reprise his role as Jakob Toretto in the upcoming movies of the franchise.

NEW DELHI: Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, on Wednesday, teased a new project starring Kriti Sanon and producer-actor Nikhil Dwivedi.

Taking to his Instagram handle, the ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ director shared a black and white picture featuring himself working on a script in his office. Sharing the picture, he wrote, “Yet another script .. another film .. @nikhildwivedi25 @kritisanon starting soon ..”

Nikhil also re-shared Anurag’s post and wrote, “Marketing teams be damned!! None of us had any inkling that this announcement will be made the old-fashioned way at 4 am this morning with none of the stakeholders having any whiff of it.”

Although the movie name and other details about the project were not revealed, going by the earlier reports, Kriti who was enjoying the success of her film ‘Mimi’ was spotted with Anurag outside Nikhil Dwivedi’s office in Mumbai in the month of October. At that time rumours were that the trio is working on making a remake of ‘Kill Bill’– American martial arts film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino starring Uma Thurman in the lead role. 

MUMBAI: With ‘Attack’, Bollywood actor John Abraham has once again worn patriotism on his sleeve.

Taking to Instagram, John, on Wednesday, unveiled the teaser of the upcoming film. In the one-minute 23-second teaser, John can be seen donning the role of a super-soldier on a mission to save his nation. Actors Jacqueline Fernandez and Rakul Preet Singh have also marked their presence in the teaser. “Get ready to witness the making of India’s first super-soldier! Teaser out now,” John wrote on Instagram while sharing the link of the teaser, which opened with a bomb blast that throws life out of gear for all those who lose their loved ones.

Action and Patriotism seem to be the key elements of ‘Attack’. Prior to Lakshya Raj Anand’s directorial, John showcased his patriotic side through several films such as ‘Satyameva Jayate’ franchise’, ‘Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran’,

NEW DELHI: Before the launch of the motion poster of their most-awaited film ‘Brahmastra’ on Wednesday, actor Alia Bhatt and director Ayan Mukerji visited Gurudwara Bangla Sahib in the capital to seek God’s blessings.

Taking to Instagram, Alia posted a few pictures from her holy visit to the gurudwara. In the images, she can be seen happily striking a pose with Ayan. She looks extremely graceful in mint green ethnic suit. “Blessings.. gratitude .. light,” Alia captioned the post.

For the unversed, Alia along with Ranbir Kapoor and Ayan will unveil the motion poster of ‘Brahmastra’ today at Thyagraj Stadium Complex in New Delhi. ‘Brahmastra’, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, is backed by Karan Johar.

WASHINGTON: At the 100th episode of Red Table Talk, Global star Priyanka Chopra Jonas on Wednesday opened about how she got her steps into the Matrix universe.

As per People magazine, the ‘Fashion’ star sat with her co-stars Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss for the 100th episode of Red Table Talk, where she opened up about how she got excited right after getting “the call” from iconic director Lana Wachowski. “I think the Matrix trilogy changed cinema. I remember when the first Matrix came out so clearly. I was 16. I remember how it shifted culture, in terms of the questions and themes it treaded upon in terms of consciousness and reality,” she said.

The 39-year-old also revealed how she landed a role in the film, which also stars Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and more.

“So when I got the call from my agent, I remember I was in India filming something, and they were like, ‘Oh, [director] Lana [Wachowski] wants to meet you tomorrow in San Francisco. I drove to the airport. I was like, ‘Sure!’ Whatever it takes to get the opportunity to work with all of you lot, it’s just such a privilege and an honour,” Priyanka said.

The ‘Matrix Resurrections’ will release in theatres and on HBO Max on December 22.

MUMBAI: Actors Gauahar Khan and Sharib Hashmi are all set to come up with a short film titled ‘Sorry Bhaisaab’. Directed and written by Suman Adhikary and Sumit Ghildiyal, ‘Sorry Bhaisaab’ will release on Amazon miniTV on December 16. Sharing the update, Gauahar wrote on Instagram, “One yellow envelope turned our world upside down. Want to know how? Watch my new short film #SorryBhaisaab on 16th DEC.” According to Niyati Merchant, Co-Founder and COO, Arre, ‘Sorry Bhaisaab’ showcases the “desires and aspirations of a common middle-class family with a relatable plot.”
