Ludhiana, December 14

About 20 prominent faces today joined the BJP during the party’s state council meeting here in the presence of senior leaders, including Union Minister and state election in-charge of the party Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, state party in-charge Dushyant Gautam and state party president Ashwani Sharma.

A huge stage was set for the occasion which had a banner saying ‘Nawan Punjab Bhajpa De Naal’ (New Punjab with BJP). Some of the persons who joined the BJP include former principal secretary SR Laddar, Dr Daljit Singh Sodhi, Amit Moudgil, Chaudhry Mohan Lal Sanga, folk singer Malkit Singh Manga and singer Boota Mohammad. — TNS
