PM Modi, Amit Shah Pays Tributes To 2001 Parliament Attack Martyrs

PM Modi will visit Varanasi on December 13-14. Today, the Prime Minister will visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple and offer prayers, after which he will inaugurate phase 1 of Kashi Vishwanath Dham, constructed at a cost of around Rs 339 crore.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday paid tributes to all those security personnel who were martyred in the line of duty during the Parliament attack in 2001. 

The Prime Minister took to Twitter and wrote, "I pay my tributes to all those security personnel who were martyred in the line of duty during the Parliament attack in 2001. Their service to the nation and supreme sacrifice continues to inspire every citizen."

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also took to Twitter and wrote (roughly translated into English), "I salute the courage and valour of all the brave security forces who made their supreme sacrifice to protect the pride of the nation in the cowardly terrorist attack on the Parliament House, the temple of Indian democracy. Your unparalleled valour and immortal sacrifice will always inspire us to serve the nation."

Meanwhile, PM Modi will visit Varanasi on December 13-14. Today, the Prime Minister will visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple and offer prayers, after which he will inaugurate phase 1 of Kashi Vishwanath Dham, constructed at a cost of around Rs 339 crore.

A total of 23 buildings will be inaugurated in phase 1 of the project. They will provide a variety of facilities to the pilgrims visiting Kashi Vishwanath Temple, including a tourist facilitation centre, food court, etc, according to the official statement. 

The project involved the purchase and acquisition of more than 300 properties around Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
