Thoubal, December 11 2021: Auto rickshaw driver Thokchom Abhiram, who operates in between Khangabok to Thoubal town, has announced that he will transport students without levying any fare.

Addressing a press meet held Ema Kids, Khangabok Khullakpam Leikai on Saturday, Abhiram stated that students are facing huge problem as fares of passenger carriers have been raised due to high fuel prices.

Many parents too are beset with financial issues due to hike of travel fares of their children.

Hence, he has decided to forgo the fares of the students who travel in his autorickshaw, he added.

One of the students present at the press meet, stated that hiking passenger vehicle fare has caused a big problem for them and as such it is very praiseworthy that Th Abhiram has decided to ferry students for free.

The student also appealed to other autorickshaw service providers to waive fare for students.
