Rita Ora and her director beau Taika Waititi began their relationship in March this year after meeting in Australia, and look to be going from strength to strength. 

The couple showed off their flair for fashion in eccentric ensembles as they stepped out at Sydney's Woolloomooloo Wharf on Saturday to enjoy dinner at restaurant China Doll, while joined by their celebrity pals Russell Crowe, American actor Vincent D'Onofrio and Gracie Otto.

It was quite the star-studded affair with Rita, 31, and Taika, 46, bumping into radio shock jock Kyle Sandilands, 50, who was on his way to celebrate girlfriend Tegan Kynaston's 36th birthday at Manta Restaurant, also situated along the wharf.

Rita looked sensational in a black bustier and matching skirt that showed off her cleavage, toned tummy and lean legs.

The British songstress added black suede cowboy boots, a black trench coat, stylish dark sunglasses and a box clutch to the look, and styled her caramel locks loosely around her shoulders in tousled waves.

Her makeup was ultra glamorous, consisting of a smoky eye, lashings of mascara, a touch of highlighter on her defined cheekbones, and a slick of natural colour on her pout.

Kyle donned a head-to-toe black ensemble and engaged in friendly banter with the couple, seen shaking Taika's hand and warmly embracing Rita.

While he wasn't pictured en route to the restaurant, Russell Crowe, 57, appeared in great spirits as he enjoyed a meal with Rita, Taika, and their pals Vincent, 62, and Gracie, 34.

Law & Order star Vincent attended the 2021 AACTA Awards in Sydney on Wednesday, where he presented the award for Best Supporting Actor in a Film alongside Deborah Mailman.  

Rita is in Australia to film The Voice: Generations and the next main season of The Voice Australia, with production believed to have commenced last weekend.

Her Kiwi boyfriend is also rumoured to be continuing work on several upcoming films, including Thor: Love and Thunder, which is in post-production. 

The sighting comes after Rita revealed freezing her eggs was the 'best thing she ever did' in a candid new interview.  

The Body on Me hit-maker told how she would 'love to have a nice big family' while also gushing over her romance with Taika, saying she 'wasn't expecting to find love' with him.

Kosovo-born Rita froze her eggs at age 24 and then again at age 27 after seeking the advice of her doctor. 

Speaking to The Independent Rita explained of the process and her decision making: 'I'd love to have a nice big family! 

'I think as women, we put that pressure on ourselves, subconsciously, because we feel like that is our duty – to create and give life.

Elsewhere in her chat with the publication, she spoke about her romance with Taika, saying: 'I didn't expect to find love in Australia, nor was I looking for it.' 

She added that she is keen to keep her relationship out of the spotlight and 'protect it', before saying she has changed the way she dates in the public eye now.

Rita met the Oscar-winning filmmaker in Australia in February while she was filming The Voice Australia.

A source told The Sun the duo started dating 'secretly' in early March, three months before she left Australia for Los Angeles in early June.

'All their friends know about the relationship - they're really into each other,' the insider said at the time.

The couple made their red carpet debut at the LA premiere of The Suicide Squad on August 2.

Taika was previously married to film producer Chelsea Winstanley, but the pair are believed to have quietly split in 2018.

They share two daughters, Te Hinekāhu and Matewa Kiritapu.
