- Nathan Lyon is among the few spinners to take 400 wickets. Others on the list are- Muttiah Muralitharan, Shane Warner, Anil Kumble, Rangana Herath, R Ashwin and Harbhajan Singh.
- He achieved the landmark in 101st Test. The 34-year-old will look to add at least 100 more wickets to his tally with a few years of cricket still left in him.
- Muttiah Muralitharan was the fastest to reach 400 Test wickets. He had achieved the landmark in just 72 matches.
Nathan Lyon achieved the milestone after getting the big wicket of Dawid Malan (82) in his second over of the Day 4. With the wicket, he also broke the 162-run third wicket partnership between him and Joe Root.
