NAGPUR:
Hill Zill Wines Private Limited, a company from Mumbai which had taken part in the Nagpur Wine Festival last week, is also eyeing business for its premium honey-mead brand in the city as well as other centres in
Vidarbha.
The product was formally launched at a hotel in the city on Thursday. The company also claims to be the first to have launched wine made out of chickoo.
With ‘Arka’, the honey mead brand,
Hill Zill is eyeing the premium segment in the region. Apart from Nagpur, the wine has also been launched in Amravati, Akola, Chandrapur, Gondia and Bhandara, said a press release issued by the company.
“Vidarbha is an emerging market and we expect a moderate business from the region. This would be the first ever premium brand of its kind in the region. Even as there may be wine brands equally priced, Arka is still expensive given the size of the bottle. Its available in a 375 ml bottle with the rate almost close to that of a 750 ml bottle of other brands in the premium segment,” said Nagesh Pai, the co-founder of Hill Zill Wines.
