UGC releases list of institutes that can provide online courses

The University Grants Commission has released the list of higher educational institutions that can provide online courses for the academic year 2021-22 which ends in November 2022.


There are 42 universities listed by UGC. Manav Rachna International Institute in Faridabad (Deemed University) and GLA University in Mathura (Private University) are new additions to the list.

These institutes will offer open and distance learning programmes as well as online programmes for undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The list of recognised universities can be checked on the UGC's official website here www.ugc.ac.in or here https://deb.ugc.ac.in/Home/Entitled


The UGC had earlier decided that the academic session that was to begin in July would be changed to November. The deadline to apply for such courses is December 15.
