Mamata Banerjee’s public rebuke of Mahua Moitra over infighting within the Trinamool Congress over civic body elections is trending on social media.

The video shows Banerjee, who’s the head of the TMC, at what reports say is an administrative review meeting at Krishnanagar in Nadia district.
Banerjee’s was believed to upset about reports of infighting in the local unit. Moitra is in charge of the party’s affairs in Nadia.
Mahua Moitra, the Trinamool Congress MP from Krishnanagar, was on stage with the chief minister.
"Mahua, let me give a clear message here. I don't need to see who is against whom. If someone does not like a person, he or she puts up some news on YouTube or in newspapers. This kind of politics can go for one day but not forever. And for only one person to be in the same place forever, that is also not right," Mamata Banerjee says in the video, according to NDTV."When there is an election, the party will decide who will contest and who won't. There should be no difference of opinion. I am telling you, everyone should work together," she adds.
The video shows Mahua Moitra nodding silently.
Since the video went viral, Moitra, a Member of Parliament well known for her eloquence, was trending on social media.
“Why is motormouth Mahua sitting there and taking this insult quietly? No copied shrill speeches now,” Shefali Vaidya, a vocal right-wing columnist and media personality.
There were others who took offence on Moitra’s behalf.
"Mahua Moitra doesn't have any future left in TMC," wrote one offended user. "She is a capable and a vocal leader who had raised voice of the common people in the Parliament. After Mamata Banerjee, its (sic) obvious Abhishek Banerjee will be the TMC chief. So, Mahua should join Congress and become face in WB (sic)."
"I stand with @MahuaMoitraji in these tough times when whole (sic) TMC ecosystem is abusing her badly," said the same user in another post.
"Mahua Moitra has been born and raised in a wealthy family. She is herself (sic) financially comfortable given her earlier job in financial sector in US (Sic). Its (sic) telling about her character that she put up with public humiliation by Mamata. Normal people would walk out instantaneously," said another user.
NDTV quoted Moitra meanwhile as saying “it was a local fight and not worth it”.
