Gugu Mbatha-Raw & David Oyelowo Kick Off Promo For 'The Girl Before' Series

Gugu Mbatha-Raw steps out in a chic silk dress for a special screening of her new series, The Girl Before, held at The Courthouse Hotel on Wednesday (December 8) in London, England.

The 38-year-old actress was joined by her co-stars Ben Hardy, Jessica Plummer and David Oyelowo.

The Girl Before tells the story of Jane (Mbatha-Raw), who gets the chance to move into a beautiful, ultra-minimalist house designed by an enigmatic architect (Oyelowo). There’s just one catch: the occupants must abide by his list of exacting rules.

Jane starts to feel the house changing her in unexpected ways, but when she makes the shocking discovery about her predecessor, Emma (Plummer), she’s forced to confront unnerving similarities.

As the two women’s timelines interweave, Jane begins to question if her fate will be the same as the girl before…

The series will start streaming on December 19 on BBC.
