Legendary wrestler Jeff Hardy has been released by WWE, according to multiple reports.
The 44-year-old is widely considered one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all-time.
According to Fightful, Hardy was let go by WWE after declining an offer to enter rehab.
The ‘Charismatic Enigma’ has endured a well-documented struggle with addiction.
He was sent home from WWE’s tour last weekend after quitting the ring mid-match at a non-televised event with Drew McIntyre and Xavier Woods in Texas.
WWE are yet to confirm Hardy’s departure.
Hardy is renown for his incredible leaps and falls over the years, both as a solo star and in the legendary Hardy Boyz tag team with his brother Matt.
In a career spanning almost 30 years, Hardy has held 29 championships across WWE, Impact and ROH.
His brother Matt provided an update on Jeff’s health during a Twitch stream on Monday.
He said: “I did speak to Jeff for a little bit today and he’s OK, he’s good.
“I think he’ll be fine but once again, this isn’t my business and if he wants to go into it in more detail then he’ll do it himself. Jeff is OK.
“He is at home and he is OK.”
