HYDERABAD: Police identified the 25-year-old man who was found dead in a water
tank at
Musheerabad. Family members said that he was addicted to alcohol and that he went missing after an argument with his mother on October 19.
The deceased was, P Kishore, 25, a painter from Ambedkar Colony in Chikkadpally. Police circulated the photos of the victim to all the nearby police teams. Chikkadpally police got back saying that the victim could be Kishore who went missing after leaving his home on October 19 night.
“Kishore was addicted to liquor. On October 19 night he came home drunk and had an argument with his family members. Chided by his mother, Kishore left his home after midnight and did not return,” Musheerabad inspector E Jahangir Yadav said. As Kishore did not return home even after a few days, his family members lodged a complaint with Chikkadpally police. A missing case was registered on October 23.
“We do not know exactly when he fell in the water tank and whether it was a suicide or an accident or a murder,” the inspector said.
Police are verifying if any CCTV camera footage is available in the nearby areas. Kishore’s decomposed body was found in the municipal water tank at Risalagadda in Musheerabad on Tuesday.
