Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Thursday at 11:15AM

Sikko Industries(up 4.93%), Madras Fertlizers(up 4.17%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(up 4.05%), Agro Phos(up 2.41%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (up 2.39%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(up 2.11%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(up 1.95%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 1.37%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 0.88%) and Aries Agro(up 0.72%) were among the top gainers.

Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(down 1.85%) and G S F C(down 0.42%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 51.5 points down at 17418.25, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 158.37 points at 58491.31 at around 11:15AM.

Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 1.59%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 1.19%), Asian Paints(up 1.18%), UPL Ltd(up 1.15%), Reliance Industries(up 1.11%), Larsen & Toubro(up 1.07%), Coal India(up 0.96%), Bajaj Finance(up 0.83%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 0.35%) and ICICI Bank(up 0.29%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Divis Laboratories(down 1.74%), Titan Company Ltd(down 1.69%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 1.66%), HDFC Bank(down 1.62%), Nestle India(down 1.3%), Tata Consultancy(down 1.24%), Axis Bank(down 1.13%), HCL Technologies(down 1.07%), NTPC(down 1.06%) and SBI Life(down 0.93%) were trading in the red.
